Course

Group classes require a textbook. The following textbooks are currently being used in ongoing classes. When a new class begins, a different textbook may be used upon request.

Beginner Classes

The Beginner course is divided into two groups.

For the first half of the course, the class will use the textbook GENKI 1 and the course covers basic vocabulary, grammar and sentence structures.

For the second half of the course, the class will use the textbook GENKI 2 and the course covers continues to cover vocabulary, grammar, sentence pattern and the Japanese culture that are closely related to Japanese Language.

Quartet Course

Quartet is a comprehensive intermediate learning resource for Japanese-language learners who have completed the elementary level.

Minna no Nihongo Course

For the first half of the course, the class will use the textbook みんなの日本語中級１.

The textbook Minna no Nihongo Chuukyu I cultivates the practical conversational skills of the learner through the steady learning of grammar and vocabulary as well as exposure to everyday conversation in various settings. Completing this course will provide with knowledge of 315 kanji and 1000 words to prepare for upper intermediate level Japanese.

For the second half of the course, the class will use the textbook みんなの日本語中級2.

Minna no Nihongo Chuukyu II is aimed at those learners at the upper intermediate level who wish to cultivate further their all-round skills in talking, listening, reading and writing.

TOBIRA Course

The textbook TOBIRA is designed to develop the four language skills through the study of a variety of different topics from Japanese geography and history to pop culture. Completing this course will provide with knowledge of 503 kanji and 700 words to prepare for upper intermediate level Japanese.

Advanced Classes

Joukyuu de Manabu Nihongo Course

Joukyuu de Manabu Nihongo has 15 sections with the themes related to things that are in the learners' daily lives. This course is geared towards students who have a solid foundation in both conversational and written Japanese. The class is conducted entirely in Japanese and focuses on the development of extended discourse abilities and advanced reading skills.

Conversation Course

Conversation course is designed for students who would like to improve their conversation skills in Japanese. The textbook ‘Marugoto’ encompasses both language and culture, features real-life communication, allows you to experience the lifestyle and culture behind this communication.
